Rick Perry Asked Where His Cowboy Boots Were

Just recently during one of those events where Texan Governor Rick Perry was invited, he was asked a question that has kept on haunting him since July, the question having to do with the whereabouts of Freedom and Liberty –Perry’s signature cowboy boots.

The question was asked while Perry was at the Fainting Goat restaurant. The governor answered that the cowboy boots were on the bus. Perry later on added that he has chosen to wear ropers because leather boots get cold sometimes. Perry rarely appears on television or in front of his supporters without Freedom and Liberty. He reportedly switched footwear after his back surgery in July of 2011 though so this could be the real reason why the cowboy boots aren’t being worn by the governor anymore.

During the interview however, Perry added that the bottoms of his ropers are rather thick and said that he likes the extra insulation and cushion while in Iowa. He further said that leather boots get cold and admitted that he learned quite a few things while in Iowa. Leather indeed gets cold and can make your feet uncomfortable especially when you do not wear socks. For those who would like to wear leather cowboy boots during wintertime, it is best to make sure that your feet are kept warm. It is interesting to note that Perry was wearing black Justin Ropers during this particular interview and what is more interesting to voters is that they only cost $70. Unlike other president-wannabes, Perry may be one of the most tight-fisted –a good indication that he is more levelheaded than others for not choosing expensive stuff. Although Perry later on got an onslaught of criticism after several blunders on TV, the Texan governor remains popular among his constituents because he is deemed as the only person who might be able to give the USA the change that it needs.
