Vanessa Hudgens accessorizes with black cowboy boots

by Sarah 16. April 2009 12:59

Vanessa Hudgens and her man Zac Efron were spotted dining at Beso restaurant in Hollywood recently. Vanessa, who donned a black fringed jumpsuit and lots of jewelry, finished off her outfit with a pair of sassy black cowboy boots. They broke up the basic black of the outfit and added a little Western spice! Vanessa has emerged as a fashionista in the past few months following her High School Musical fame, so she's a great example of a stylish gal to look up to. Steal her look with these babies.

Miley Cyrus rocks cowboy boots out to lunch with Nick Jonas!

by Sarah 13. April 2009 11:16

Miley Cyrus rocked a pair of distressed leather cowboy boots out to lunch with ex-boyfriend Nick Jonas this weekend. Cyrus, whose Hannah Montana movie took in $34 million this weekend, easily putting the film at number one, looked relaxed and ready to hang in her easy going outfit. She paired her brown boots with a pair of skinny jeans, a blue peasant blouse, a Louis Vuitton bowler satchel and an array of funky necklaces.

Recreate Miley's look! While we don't have a record of her exact boots, here are some styles that will mimic hers.

These harness boots are in the same color family, and best of all, they have the distressed look of Miley's pair.

These Deertan boots are almost the same color as Miley's pair. They'll look great when paired with jeans.

These Abilean boots in dirty brown have the same worn in feel as Miley's. They've definitely got the distressed look going on.

Grab your peasant blouse and your blue jeans and recreate Miley's outfit with the look above. Unfortunately, we don't have any Nick Jonases in our boot directory. You're on your on for that one!

This is a look that is perfect for Spring and Summer. It keeps you cool, and as a bonus, makes you look like you've got legs for days! Even us shorter ladies can rock this style.

Check out Jess' look below, then recreate yours with these boots and these shorts

  Red Boots for women

A great pair of old fashioned western boots

by JohnWayne 13. September 2008 10:17

I like my boots, I have boots for riding, boots for walking, boots for working and boots for going out on the town. On of my favorite pair of kicking around boots if from Abilene Boots. This pair of boots is not for the urban cowboy, they don't have a lot of flash, even the name is a little boring, Abilene boots just calls them Men's 12 in Abilene Dirty Brown Cowhide Western Boot or boot 2104 for people in the business. Despite that lack of urban style and the rather simple name these boots are a great fit for the everyday man. They feature the Abilene 'Air Ride Comfort System' -

Here is the blurb from Abilene about about the air ride comfort system... 'Designed to deliver comfort from every part of the boot by utilizing a technologically advanced urethane cushion insole, leather heel pad with an 1/8 inch foam cushion and a 1/8 inch foam filler between the insole and leather outsole.  The cushion insole has superior shock absorption capabilities and remains flexible even in temperatures as low as minus 40 degrees Fahrenheit.  Unique cell structure allows perspiration to pass through the insole and also resists foot odor, moisture and heat.'

Did you notice the part about heat and perspiration passing out of the boot to prevent smelly feet, now we talking about a boot you can wear all the time and not chase the family away when the crumb crunchers pull them off of your feet at the end of the day.

If you are looking for a great boot at a great price, then I recommend this boot. You can find it on the Abilene website for $134 - but bootcity.com has it for $129 - you can see what other people think of this boot by reading the reviews. (reviews of the Abilene 2104 are here) - at the time of this blog, this boot has a perfect 4 out of 4 stars on the cowboy boot review website.
