Justin Boots Worn by Masked Rider Texas Tech University

by MA 12/2/2008 3:35:00 PM

Just thought this was interesting for those of you who wonder about what Texas Tech's mascot wears? Justin of course and these were made especially for the 2009-2009 masked Rider Ashley Hartzog. They are a black Justin Belly ostrich with a 14 inch black soft kipskin soft top with the Double T embroidered on them. Her jeans are Cruel Girl Brand and her shirts are by Wrangler. Go Ashley! Go Texas Tech! Guns Up!

These very special boots are provided to Texas Tech by Boot City and Justin Boots. Each year Justin Boots makes a special pair for the Masked Rider. These boots are not sold in retail outlets and there are very few in existence. Wouldn't every Texas Tech fan love to get their feet in a pair of these.

Anderson Bean Boots

by MA 12/2/2008 3:29:00 PM
The AB Copper Cow is like a handmade boot! Anderson Bean still makes boots the good old fashioned way...by HAND! These boots are made in Texas and they are awesome! I love the color of the foot and the white tops make them a stand out! The hair on brindle cow hide cross is inlaid in the tops by hand and these are some of the best boots money can buy! Boot City had these made especially for their store and they are in stock for at once shipping in most sizes!

City Charmer DH5032

by MA 11/21/2008 4:31:00 PM

Perfect for a quick ride or a night on the town, these harness boots combine the aggressive motorcycle persona with the guise of a casual and individualistic lifestyle. Do what you want and wear what you want but be prepared for people to say "Wow, I LOVE your boots!" The Heel height of 1 5/8 " helps me look taller beside my 6 foot man. I love the bling and these actually look great with dress pant as well as my favorite jeans.

A Great Gift for a Great Girl!

by MA 10/21/2008 1:58:00 PM

The RD860 is a great boot for any girl! This boot has a 5" top with a chain accent, the leather is black cow hide that has been deer tanned to make it soft. They have a side zip that makes them very easy to put on...the girls with a really high instep love how easy this boot goes on. The boot has a cushion insole with a flex forepart and a cowgirl heel! Love um! I give them a perfect 10!

Lucchese Charlie One Horse Black Calf Western Fashion Cowgirl Boots

by LucyFrost 10/20/2008 4:04:00 PM
There are some bona fide extremes in Western wear.  And let’s face it, they’re really, really fun.  Anyone who’s ever seen an authentic “Nudie” suit knows how excessive and playful Western wear can get. The folks at Lucchese have a brand they’re peddling called “Charlie One Horse” and it appears to be a place where they can have some fun and go to a few extremes at the same time.  Case in point:  the black calf Western Fashion Cowgirl boots.  The emphasis here is on the “fashion.”  The top looks like a classic cowgirl boot with tooled leather and side pulls, and the front of the boot (I’m using the term “boot” here rather loosely) resembles a boot with a radically pointed toe. The extreme part, though, are the heels.  They’re stiletto.   Talk about making a statement.

Footwear for the Austin City Limits Music Festival

by LucyFrost 10/5/2008 6:57:00 PM
The Austin City Limits Music Festival occurred last weekend, with attendance at about 50,000 or so.  The festival covers a large area, so music-lovers can easily trek several miles a day going back and forth between the many stages, getting food and refreshments, shopping and so on.  It’s generally hot and almost always dusty by late afternoon. For most, the footwear of choice was sandals or athletic shoes.  But a few sharp cowgirls were wearing boots with dresses and shorts.  If you have boots that truly fit like a glove, this can be an excellent choice for a long day of walking.  Your feet are more comfortable than they would be in ill-fitting sandals, and they're not dust-caked at the end of the day.

Well-heeled Cowgirls at ACL Festival

by LucyFrost 10/5/2008 5:50:00 PM
Besides the comfort and durability of a pair of great-fitting boots, there is also the style factor.  And there were several cowgirls at the recent Austin City Limits Music Festival who were sporting some real authentic cowgirl style. Only about one in every 500 to 1000 folks was wearing cowboy boots, so those that were wearing them stood out right away.  Some of my favorite looks were a bright orange dress with very dark burnt-orange boots,  faded blue denim cut-off shorts paired with slouchy tan boots, and one young man with tight dark-wash denim jeans and deep wine-colored boots with a slim tall heel.  He looked great.

A few words of caution, however. Skirt lengths should be, in my opinion, age appropriate.  And you can overdo it. There was one outfit that combined a turquoise and black print dress with black boots.  Fair enough, but then she’d added a straw hat with turquoise and black trim, and turquoise and black knee-high socks.  Just goes to show that a good idea can be taken a tad too far . . .

DI526 Pigskin Slouch

by MA 10/2/2008 12:54:00 PM
This Dingo boot has all the Bling that you need for a night of Dancing! The DI526 is an all over pigskin slouch boot. This boot hugs your feet like a glove and the comfort cushion insole is a wonderful, comfortable addition to these boots. I am fairly short so when I found these boots I fell in love with the heel! They call this heel a dancer heel (taller than most) but it is not too tall and the comfort cushion helps to take the weight off the balls of your feet. The boot bracelet adds the bling that most boots don't have. Need black? Check out style DI527. You can see reviews of the Dingo Boots here

Chestnut Deerlite Justin Ladies Boot

by MA 9/30/2008 9:08:00 AM

This little Justin Boot is a real jewel! This boot includes the J-Flex comfort system. The leather is calf but it has been vat dyed ...so what that means for you is  the leather is going to be very easy to break in and easy on your feet! This is my pick for dancing the night away or working all day!
