Celebrities love their cowboy boots!

The great thing about cowboy boots is that they never go out of style. Originated way back when, this fabulous shoe style may be rocked today by country cuties Miley Cyrus and Taylor Swift, but if we dig back into our celebrity archive, we see that everyone from Kate Bosworth to Mary Kate Olsen has been spotted trolling around town in cowboy boots.

The history of cowboy boots traces all the way back to the times when horsemen wore them. They go all the way back to the 1800's! The style of cowboy boots caught on to be worn for leisure in 1954 because of Hollywood setting this trend. To this day cowboy boots are still worn by men and woman alike.

So how can you wear this western style shoe? In the summer time you can pair them with 'daisy duke shorts' - or a flowy peasant skirt if you are extra daring. In the colder months, cowboy boots look great when you tuck your jeans into them. For tops, I like to go with a plain tee, but if you want to look like the ultimate cowgirl wear a western style check shirt.

Another hurdle you have to go through when deciding what to wear with cowboy boots is what kind of belt to pair with it. My suggestion is to wear a western style belt. Also plain brown, or deep red belts work like a charm. Because the western style has been 'in' it is very easy to find westerny belts in stores so don’t worry if you don’t already own one.
