Whoever said cowboy boots were going out of style was sorely mistaken. Fashion houses Givenchy and Martin Margiela have both made cowboy boots for the Spring 2009 season - and as any good fashionista knows, what happens on the runway gets interpreted down. It's like that moment in The Devil Wears Prada, where Meryl Streep scolds Anne Hathaway for even thinking that her choice of "cerulean" had anything to do with her own opinions. Anne's character should have known that cerulean has had a trickle down effect from the high fashion runway all the way down to the Gap.
It's the same way with cowboy boots. Now that Margiela (the degrade blue and white shown below) and Givenchy (the thigh high black boots shown below) have reinterpreted the classic western trend, they're sure to grace the feet of the rest of the world soon!
